Lieutenant Thompson served as an umpire for the maneuver and helped evaluate and control the maneuver action. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nr. C. Thompson of Newcastle. Prior to his entry into the service Lieutenant Thompson attended Newcastle High school and the University of Wyoming. In 1953 he entered the Nation. ~as Guard and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant. Before his assignment to High Tide, Thompson was with the 89th Tank Battalion at Fort Knox, Ky where he will return at the end of the exercise.
