ATTEND YOUR CHURCH
Is Strength
Nothing
lies beyond
the
reach of prayer
except
that which
lies outside
the
will of God!
I
Your Strength
is God's will
Pray Every Day
Listen to "Chapel Time" at 10:0O a.m. on KASL, each day Monday
through Friday, presented by the Newcastle Ministerial Association.
It is not important which church yeu attend. The important
thing is that you attend church.
Most of us refer to one church or another as "my church". To
make a church really your own you must support it not only finan-
cially, but in spirit and by your presence. Your regular attendance
at the services, your hearty cooperation in its program together
with your financial assistance help to make it your church and a
successful one.
The Churches of the Newcastle Ministerial Association invite
)~u to attend services.
The success of the community depends on the churches, the
suctess of the churches depends on you you have a big responsi-
bility.
Member Churches: Trinity Lutheran; Assembly of God; First
M~tl~odist; Seventh Day Adventist; Christ Church Episcopal; First
Baptist; Church of the Nazarene and Southern Baptist.

PUMPKIN BUTTES
OPENING DELAY
WIDELY PRAISED
Gov. Mllward L. Slmpson's of-
fice Thursday received a flood of
telegrams and calls praising the
governor for his aeUon In delay.
ing the openings of 65,000 acres
of land in the Pumpkin Buttes
area.
Simpson appealed to the de-
partment of the interior to halt
the opening of the land to uran-
ium and other mineral claims
May 3 to avoid possible trouble
between ranchers and pr6spev.
tors.
The request was granted and
the opening of the land has been
delayed indefinitely.
Ranchers in the Pumpkin
Buttes are of Johnson and Camp-
bell counties had contended that
prospectors would have to cross
their land to reach the federal
land and they had indicated they
would defend their property a.
gainst trespassers.
Some claims have already been
staked out in the area, but Simp-
son has suggested removal of
these until everyone is given an
equal chance to stake the area.
